The average dentrite arm spacing.

One quality determinating item in aluminium parts is the average dendrte arm spacing. This can be evaluated only by user inteaction.

The measurements are executed by a point to point method.

Notepad:

Individual results can be collected by switching on the PicEd Cora notepad. This tool calculates average, standard deviation and other values too. The notepad is valuable especially if many images have to be evaluated.

Database storage:

Notepad results can be transferred directly into a database in MS-Access format. This database can be evaluated e.g. with MS-Excel and statistical evaluation can be done. Database entries can be transfered to MS-Word and thus reports can be generated easily..
