Image Analysis PicEd Cora:
Interfaces

Image analysis system with olympus bx40 microscope

Microscope Interfaces:

C-Mount: One of the few real standards is the mechanical interface of microscopes to cameras.

Analog CCD Cameras: Standard video signal output (camera) to nonstandard framegrabber (PC), displaying and capturing the video signal in realtime.
Resolution depends on type of video e.g
for PAL video this is 768x 576 pixels.
PicEd Cora supports several widespread framegrabbers.

Digital CCD cameras: no interface standard, neither hardware nor software. Widespread interfaces: firewire or USB
(hardware) and TWAIN (software). No limitation in resolution. No realtime display at high resolutions.
PicEd Cora supports several cameras.

Comparison camera resolution and resulting image sizes:

All PicEd Cora results can be exported by Clipboard, Standard file formats (TIFF, JPEG, BMP).
The database option can communicate with MS Access and MS Word. Thus measurement results are written directly into the database without intermediate steps.
Analysis reports are filled out also directly in MS Word.

PicEd Cora: The name and related JOMESA Software:
The name PicEd is deduced from Picture Editor and of course a historical relict
.
Cora stems from Color Analysis. PicEd is the family name of a group of softwares, e.g. PicEd Avio, PicEd Heraeus, PicEd SML, PicEd SDB. By the way PicEd Avio is probable the most selled software worldwide for analysis of infrared images.

Many hundreds of users and their feedback have contributed to make the software suitable for all day purposes. One does not need to be a specialist to work with the image analysis software. Users working only seldom with the software find quickly their needed features.
Our user interface avoids too many windows, which often more confuse than help.

All results of PicEd Cora can be exported in standard formats, which may be image formats (TIFF, JPEG, BMP etc.) or text formats to be processed with programs like MS WORD or MS Access.
