The JOMESA system for cleanliness analysis

1. Technical cleanliness analysis - Methods
2. Microscopic residue analysis - Measurement process
3. Microscopic residue analysis - Technical detail, accessories

2. Microscopic residue analysis - Measurement process

The dried filter membrane is put onto the filterholder which comes with the system. After choosing the specification associated with the filter all evaluation is done without user interaction. His remaining task is to check the measurement result for artefacts and eventually print out the report.

The neccessary accuracy (typical 10-50 µm) of particle size determination and the typical size of the membrane (26mm to 50mm) requires that the mebrane has to be recorded in segments.

The result of residue analysis is presented in a table:

ISO 16232 particle classes

Sample residue particles After finishing the analysis, the program switches to a mode, where the user can check the result.

Particles are ordered by size.

After checking the result, no further user interactions are neccessary.

Report generation is done automatically.
